About The Position

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking a full-time construction Site Safety Coordinator in Chester, Virginia. The role ensures implementation of company and client safety activities and policies at construction sites. Travel may be required.

The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or work authorization support. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of commercial electrical experience in a related position.
• High school diploma or GED.
• OSHA-30 certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications.
• Successfully pass a post-offer pre-employment background check and MVR check.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation of all IES and client safety activities.
• Conduct frequent jobsite inspections and ensure corrective action is taken to address deficiencies.
• Work with foremen to plan safe approaches for non-routine job tasks.
• Participate in jobsite safety meetings and periodically attend foreman toolbox safety meetings.
• Conduct jobsite safety orientations.
• Assist with safety training as necessary.
• Conduct field training on all equipment for all employees.
• Assist with hazard recognition and corrections.
• Provide on-site first aid and CPR capabilities.
• Comply with all company and client safety policies and procedures.
