Weekend Sign Installer - Waxhaw, NC
About The Position
Artisan Direct is seeking an independent contractor to install and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Old Town Village community in Waxhaw, North Carolina. Install signs between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, and pick up the same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. Work may be completed at any time within those windows, provided the placement and pickup deadlines are met. The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic mounted on wooden stakes. Artisan Direct supplies the signs, stakes, and replacement inventory as needed. Contractors use Artisan Direct’s mobile application to report sign installations and pickups, store signs and extra stakes safely during the week, and submit a weekly invoice and order replacement inventory through the website after pickup. This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Contractors are not employees and are responsible for their own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance. They provide their own vehicle and mobile device and determine their driving order. Contractors may accept or decline routes but must complete routes they commit to. No benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees are offered. The work is recurring each weekend and may suit people seeking flexible supplemental income.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
- A smartphone (Android or iPhone), roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the mobile application.
- Ability to lift and place signs and work outdoors.
- Ability to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
- Dependable and able to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend.
- Responsible for own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance as an independent contractor.
Responsibilities
- Install signs every weekend between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM.

Benefits
- Starting compensation is $98.25 per weekend.
- Pay is issued by direct deposit every two weeks.
