Weekend Sign Installer - Sanford, NC
About The Position
Artisan Direct is seeking an independent contractor to place and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Brookshire community in the Sanford, NC area. Contractors install signs between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, then pick up the same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. Work can be completed at any time within those windows, provided the deadlines are met. The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic installed on wooden stakes. Artisan Direct supplies the signs and stakes and provides replacement inventory as needed. Contractors store the signs and extra stakes safely during the week, use Artisan Direct’s mobile application to report installations and pickups, and submit a weekly invoice and order replacement inventory through the company website after pickup. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not employment with Artisan Direct. Contractors provide their own vehicle and mobile device and are responsible for fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance. They determine their driving order and may accept or decline routes, but must complete any route they commit to. No benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees are offered. The work is recurring each weekend and may provide flexible supplemental income; additional work may be offered as it becomes available.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Reliable vehicle with enough space to transport more than 30 signs.
- Android or iPhone smartphone, roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the company’s mobile app.
- Ability to lift and place signs and work outdoors.
- Ability to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
- Dependability and ability to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend.
- Contractors are responsible for their own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance and must provide their own vehicle and mobile device.
Responsibilities
- Install signs every weekend between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM.
- Pick up the same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM.
- Use Artisan Direct’s mobile application to report sign installation and pickup at specific locations.
- Store signs and extra stakes safely during the week.
- After completing pickup, submit a weekly invoice and order replacement inventory through the company website.
- Complete committed routes within the required placement and pickup windows.
