About The Position

Directed is seeking an independent contractor to install and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Palmetto Creek community in the Bolivia, NC area. Signs must be installed between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, and the same signs must be picked up between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. Contractors may choose when to work within each window, provided all signs are placed and removed by the applicable deadlines. The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic mounted on wooden stakes. Directed provides the signs, stakes, and replacement inventory as needed. The contractor stores the signs and extra stakes safely during the week, uses Directed’s mobile app to report sign installation and pickup at specified locations, submits a weekly invoice, and orders replacement inventory through the company website after pickup. This is a 1099 independent contractor role, not employment with Directed. Contractors provide their own vehicle and mobile device and are responsible for fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance. They determine their driving order and may accept or decline routes, but must complete any route they commit to. No benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees are offered. The recurring weekend work is described as flexible supplemental income. Starting compensation is $104.50 per weekend, paid by direct deposit every two weeks. The role also offers a $20 signing bonus and a $100 bonus after four weeks of completed work. Additional work may become available as more routes are added.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
Have a reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
Have an Android or iPhone smartphone, roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the mobile app.
Be able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Be able to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
Be dependable and able to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend.
Provide and pay for personal vehicle, fuel, mobile device, expenses, taxes, and insurance.

Responsibilities

Use Directed’s mobile application to report installation and pickup of signs at specific locations.
Install signs every weekend between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM.
Pick up the same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM.
Store signs and extra stakes safely during the week.
Submit a weekly invoice and order replacement inventory through the company website after completing pickup.
Complete any route accepted within its required placement and pickup windows.
