Weekend Sign Installer - Greensboro, NC
About The Position
Artisan Direct is seeking an independent contractor to install and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Sedgefield Green community in the Greensboro area. Install the signs sometime between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, and pick up the same signs sometime between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. All signs must be placed and removed by the respective deadlines. The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic mounted on wooden stakes; Artisan Direct supplies the signs and stakes and provides replacement inventory as needed. Contractors use Artisan Direct’s mobile application to report sign installations and pickups at specific locations, store signs and spare stakes safely during the week, and submit a weekly invoice and order replacement inventory through the company website after pickup. Starting compensation is $82.50 per weekend, paid by direct deposit every two weeks. The posting also offers a $20 signing bonus and a $100 bonus after four weeks of completed work. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not employment with Artisan Direct. Contractors are responsible for their own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance; provide their own vehicle and mobile device; and choose their driving order while completing committed routes within the stated time windows. Routes may be accepted or declined, but a committed route must be completed. No benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees are offered. The work is recurring each weekend and is described as flexible supplemental income.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
- Have a reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
- Have an Android or iPhone smartphone, roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the company mobile application.
- Be able to lift and place signs and work outdoors.
- Be able to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
- Be dependable and able to complete routes within the required weekend time windows.
- Provide your own vehicle and mobile device and cover your own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance as an independent contractor.
