About The Position

Directed is seeking an independent contractor to install and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Brantley and Farms at Bellingham communities in the Mooresville, North Carolina area. The contractor installs signs between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, then picks up those same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. Work may be completed at any time within the specified windows, provided all signs are placed and removed by the applicable deadlines.

The lightweight corrugated-plastic signs are mounted on wooden stakes. Directed provides the signs, stakes, and replacement inventory as needed. Contractors use Directed's mobile application to report installations and pickups at specific locations, store signs and extra stakes safely during the week, and submit a weekly invoice and order replacement inventory through the website.

Starting compensation is $143 per weekend, paid by direct deposit every two weeks. The posting also offers a $20 signing bonus and a $100 bonus after four weeks of completed work. This is a 1099 independent-contractor position, not employment with Directed. Contractors are responsible for their own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance; provide their own vehicle and mobile device; and determine their driving order. Contractors may accept or decline routes but must complete routes they commit to. No benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees are offered. The recurring weekend work is described as flexible supplemental income.

Requirements

• Have a valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
• Have an Android or iPhone smartphone, roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the mobile application.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Be able to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
• Be dependable and able to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend.
• Provide a vehicle and mobile device and cover personal fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance.

Responsibilities
