Weekend Sign Installer - Waxhaw, NC
About The Position
Artisan Direct is seeking an independent contractor to place and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Village at Waxhaw community in Waxhaw, North Carolina. Each weekend, the contractor installs signs between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, then picks up those same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. Work can be completed at any time within those windows, provided all signs are placed and removed by the applicable deadlines. The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic mounted on wooden stakes. Artisan Direct supplies the signs and stakes and provides replacement inventory as needed. Contractors use Artisan Direct’s mobile application to report sign installation and pickup at designated locations, safely store the signs and extra stakes during the week, submit a weekly invoice, and order replacement inventory through the company website after pickup. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not employment with Artisan Direct. Contractors provide their own vehicle and mobile device and are responsible for fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance. They determine their driving order and may accept or decline routes, but must complete routes they accept within the specified placement and pickup windows. No benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees are offered. The recurring weekend work is described as flexible supplemental income.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
- Have a reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
- Have an Android or iPhone smartphone, roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the mobile application.
- Be able to lift and place signs and work outdoors.
- Be able to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
- Be dependable and able to complete routes within the required weekend time windows.
Responsibilities
- Install signs every weekend between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM.

- Use Artisan Direct’s mobile application to report sign installations and pickups at specific locations.

Benefits
- Starting compensation of $82.50 per weekend.
- Payment by direct deposit every two weeks.
- $20.00 signing bonus.
- $100.00 bonus after four weeks of completed work.
