Weekend Sign Installer - Statesville, NC
About The Position
Artisan Direct is seeking an independent contractor to place and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Northlake & Hidden Creek community in the Statesville, North Carolina area. Contractors install signs between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, then pick up those same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. Work can be completed at any time within the respective windows, provided all signs are installed and removed by the stated deadlines. The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic mounted on wooden stakes. Artisan Direct supplies the signs and stakes, including replacement inventory as needed. Contractors use their own vehicle and smartphone, determine their own driving order, and complete routes independently. They store signs and extra stakes safely during the week, submit a weekly invoice, and order replacement inventory after pickup using Artisan Direct’s website. Starting compensation is $82.50 per weekend, paid by direct deposit every two weeks. The role also offers a $20 signing bonus and a $100 bonus after four weeks of completed work. The position is a 1099 independent contractor role, not employment. Contractors are responsible for their own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance. There are no benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees. Contractors may accept or decline routes but must complete routes they commit to. The work is recurring each weekend, and additional work may become available.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
- Have a reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
- Have an Android or iPhone smartphone, roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the mobile app.
- Be able to lift and place signs and work outdoors.
- Be able to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
- Be dependable and able to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend.
- Provide your own vehicle and mobile device, and be responsible for your own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance.
