Weekend Sign Installer - Catawba, NC
About The Position
Artisan Direct is seeking an independent contractor to place and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Cardiff Glyn community in the Catawba, North Carolina area. Install signs between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, and pick up the same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. Work can be performed at any time within those windows, provided all signs are placed and removed by the applicable deadlines. The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic mounted on wooden stakes. Artisan Direct provides the signs, stakes, and replacement inventory as needed. Contractors store the signs and extra stakes safely during the week, report installations and pickups using Artisan Direct’s mobile application, and submit weekly invoices and order replacement inventory through the company website. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not employment with Artisan Direct. Contractors provide their own vehicle and mobile device, determine their own driving order, and are responsible for fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance. Contractors may accept or decline routes but must complete any route they commit to. No benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees are offered. The work is recurring each weekend and may provide flexible supplemental income.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
- Android or iPhone smartphone, roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the company’s mobile app.
- Ability to lift and place signs and work outdoors.
- Ability to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
- Dependability and ability to complete routes within the required weekend time windows.
- Provide own vehicle and mobile device and cover own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance.
Responsibilities
- Install signs every weekend between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM.
- Pick up the same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM.
- Use Artisan Direct’s mobile application to report sign installations and pickups at specific locations.
- Store signs and extra stakes safely during the week.
- Submit a weekly invoice and order replacement inventory through the company website after completing pickup.
- Complete any route accepted within the required placement and pickup windows.
