Weekend Sign Installer - Albemarle, NC
About The Position
Artisan Direct is seeking an independent contractor to place and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Crystal Village community in the Albemarle, NC area. Contractors install signs between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, then pick up those same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. Work can be completed at any time within those windows, provided all signs are placed and removed by the stated deadlines. The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic mounted on wooden stakes. Artisan Direct supplies the signs, stakes, and replacement inventory as needed. Contractors use Artisan Direct’s mobile application to report sign installation and pickup at specific locations, safely store signs and extra stakes during the week, and submit a weekly invoice and order replacement inventory through the company website after pickup. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not employment with Artisan Direct. Contractors are responsible for their own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance; supply their own vehicle and mobile device; and choose their driving order while meeting the required work windows. Contractors may accept or decline routes but must complete routes they accept. No benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees are offered. Starting compensation is $82.50 per weekend, paid by direct deposit every two weeks. A $20 signing bonus and a $100 bonus after four weeks of completed work are also offered. The role is recurring on weekends and may provide additional work as it becomes available.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
- Have a reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
- Have an Android or iPhone smartphone, roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the company’s mobile application.
- Be able to lift and place signs and work outdoors.
- Be able to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
- Be dependable and able to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend.
- Provide own vehicle and mobile device, and be responsible for own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance.
