About The Position

Directed is seeking an independent contractor to install and pick up temporary weekend signs in the Ocean Isle Palms community in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. Signs must be installed between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM, then picked up between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM. Work may be completed at any time within those windows, provided the deadlines are met. The signs are lightweight corrugated plastic mounted on wooden stakes. Artisan Direct provides the signs, stakes, and replacement inventory as needed. The contractor stores signs and extra stakes safely during the week, reports installation and pickup through Directed’s mobile application, and submits a weekly invoice and orders replacement inventory using the company website. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not employment with Directed. Contractors provide their own vehicle and mobile device, determine their driving order, and are responsible for fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance. Routes may be accepted or declined, but a route that is accepted must be completed. The work is recurring each weekend and offers flexible supplemental income, with no benefits, minimum hours, or employment guarantees. Starting compensation is listed as “$ XX per weekend.” Pay is issued by direct deposit every two weeks. A $20 signing bonus and a $100 bonus after four weeks of completed work are offered.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
Have a reliable vehicle with enough space to transport 30 or more signs.
Have an Android or iPhone smartphone, roughly four years old or newer, capable of running the mobile app.
Be able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Be able to hammer stakes 6–8 inches into the ground during the first weekend only.
Be dependable and able to complete routes within the required time windows each weekend.
Provide own vehicle and mobile device, and be responsible for own fuel, expenses, taxes, and insurance.

Responsibilities

Install signs every weekend between Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM.
Pick up the same signs between Sunday at 6:00 PM and Monday at 8:00 AM.
Use Directed’s mobile application to report sign installation and pickup at specific locations.
Safely store signs and extra stakes during the week.
Submit a weekly invoice and order replacement inventory through the company website after pickup.
Complete any route accepted within the required placement and pickup windows.
