About The Position
At Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC), the Shuttle Bus Driver provides safe, reliable, and friendly transportation that helps residents stay active and maintain their independence. The driver supports residents’ appointments, activities, and community outings, ensuring each trip is smooth and enjoyable. The role also assists with residents’ mobility needs and helps maintain a safe, well-kept shuttle and community environment.
Requirements
- Must be at least 25 years old.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Able to drive the community shuttle bus safely.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm and helpful in a busy environment.
- Solid knowledge of the local area to plan efficient routes.
- Ability to use navigation tools, including electronic and paper maps.
- Able to work approximately 20 hours per week with flexible availability to meet residents’ needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide dependable transportation that helps residents stay active, engaged, and independent.
- Assist residents with mobility needs by safely operating the wheelchair lift and securing wheelchairs.
- Manage transportation requests and reduce wait times to keep rides running on time.
- Maintain a well-kept, safe shuttle bus through routine cleaning and scheduled inspections.
- Support the team during downtime by taking on small maintenance or custodial tasks that keep the community running smoothly.
