About The Position
West Shore Home is hiring a Shower and Bath Installer in Des Moines, Iowa. The Installer performs safe and effective bathroom installations by following company standard operating procedures and personal protective equipment protocols, while providing customers with a five-star experience. The workday begins at the warehouse, where the Installer loads materials and trucks before traveling to customers’ homes. Typical work includes removing existing bath or shower fixtures and installing a new tub or shower pan and wall surround, with plumbing updates as needed. The Installer cleans the work area, collects paperwork and payment, and returns to the warehouse. This position is scheduled Monday through Friday, with a 6:30 a.m. start time. The approximate pay range is $20–$25 per hour; final compensation may vary based on factors including background, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. Requirements
- Experience in carpentry, remodeling, plumbing, or construction, or a willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- A valid smartphone or smart device to access company-required systems using two-factor authentication.
- Must complete the company’s pre-employment screening process, including a background check and drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Arrive at the warehouse by 6:30 a.m. to load materials and trucks.
- Travel to customers’ homes, greet customers, and establish rapport.
- Demolish existing bath or shower fixtures and install a new tub or shower pan and wall surround.
- Update plumbing when needed.
- Clean up thoroughly and take care of the customer’s home.
- Collect paperwork and payment, then return to the warehouse.
- Follow company standard operating procedures and personal protective equipment protocols.
