About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and oversee its daily operations. Experience is valued but not required. The company provides paid training on managing a shop, changing oil, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires, and performing other light maintenance services. Within less than 60 days, the manager will be accountable for the team’s execution of Take 5 service standards. Experienced managers may earn $55,000 or more through base pay and bonus opportunities; the posting also describes earnings of up to $55,000+ per year.

Requirements

Basic computer operating skills.
Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
Willingness to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for extended periods.
Willingness to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.

Experience managing an oil change shop, restaurant, retail store, or other business is valued but not required.

Responsibilities

Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
Control inventory, including conducting End of Period and End of Year inventory.
Place product orders and physically restock inventory as needed.
Understand the shop’s financials, drive results, and use the budget wisely.
Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
Support crew members with oil changes and other auto services.
Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
Provide excellent customer service.
