About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and its crew. Experience is valued but not required; paid training is provided on managing a shop, changing oil, replacing wiper blades and air filters, filling tires, and performing other light maintenance services. Within less than 60 days, the manager will be accountable for the team's execution of Take 5 standards. The company describes opportunities for advancement, including an Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training path for candidates without experience. Shop Managers can earn up to $55,000 or more per year through base salary and bonus opportunities. The role may require early hours and, on occasion, working up to 55 hours per week. Requirements
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
- Be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
- Be willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
- Have reliable transportation to and from the shop.
- Be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
- Have basic computer operating skills.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
- Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
- Control inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory.
- Place product orders and physically restock inventory as necessary.
- Understand the shop's financials, drive results, and use the budget wisely.
- Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
- Support crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services.
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service.
