About The Position

Franz Family Bakery is seeking production workers to assist with a variety of tasks involved in producing bread products. Work is performed in accordance with SQF Food Safety procedures, and tasks may vary from day to day depending on production needs. Employees may be assigned to any workday from Monday through Sunday and to day, swing, or graveyard shifts. Specific schedules and hours are determined through the union bid process.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED.
Ability to work in a high-temperature environment around fast-paced machinery.
Ability to quickly learn new tasks and work in different jobs as needed.
Must be able to work any day, including holidays, and any shift.
Reliable attendance that meets the employer’s standards for a 24/7 production facility.
Must join the union within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in similar production-line duties at a large commercial or artisan bakery is preferred; experience in a similar industrial, manufacturing, or production-line environment may substitute.

Responsibilities

Perform assigned manual labor, including grasping, lifting, moving, placing, and stacking items related to production.
Identify, count, sort, and visually inspect bakery items.
Accurately record product analysis data or counts as required by SQF Food Safety procedures.
Maintain workflow from production conveyors.
Work safely at all times and adhere to Franz Core Values.
