About The Position

Allstate Peterbilt Group serves the medium- and heavy-duty truck and trailer industry throughout the Midwest. Its team supports customers from vehicle purchases through warranty repairs and ongoing maintenance. The Shop Helper supports technicians and shop operations by moving and test-driving trucks, cleaning and maintaining shop areas and equipment, delivering and retrieving parts, and assisting with basic tasks during repairs. Responsibilities

• Move trucks in and out of stalls for technicians.
• Test-drive trucks that need extended mileage to ensure repairs are complete.
• Provide steam-cleaning and pressure-washing assistance as needed.
• Clean shop floors, tool areas, shop tools and equipment, and other areas as needed.
• Deliver parts from the parts department to technicians.
• Retrieve parts from outside vendors when necessary.
• Assist with shop tool repair.
• Assist technicians with repairs when no tools or technical expertise are required, such as holding a component in place or depressing a clutch pedal.
• Manage retained warranty parts as directed.
