Shop Helper
About The Position
JX Enterprises is hiring a Shop Helper for its Service Department in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The role helps keep the department running smoothly in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The Shop Helper maintains shop cleanliness, delivers parts to technicians, interacts courteously with customers, and assists with tasks that improve technician efficiency. The position also involves participating in learning opportunities, helping other technicians, and moving trucks into and out of the shop as directed. Other duties may be assigned to support the business. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. JX Enterprises describes itself as a third-generation, family-owned company with over 50 years of history, more than 30 locations, and over 1,200 employees. Requirements
- General mechanical knowledge or aptitude is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- A CDL is required, or the ability to obtain one.
- Ability to drive a forklift.
- A curious mindset, integrity, pioneering spirit, and commitment to professional development.
- Ability to continuously stand and walk; lift and carry up to 75 pounds; use simple and firm grasp and fine manipulation; work near moving mechanical equipment; use air tools and basic hand tools; wear safety glasses, gloves, and shoes; and talk or hear.

- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a consistently clean shop environment.
- Deliver parts to shop technicians efficiently.
- Interact with customers diplomatically and courteously.
- Assist with tasks that improve technician proficiency and efficiency.
- Participate actively in learning opportunities and modules.
- Help other technicians and learn through hands-on experience.
- Pull trucks into and out of the shop as directed.
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to cultivate positive customer experiences.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
