About The Position

Allstate Peterbilt Group serves the medium- and heavy-duty truck and trailer industry throughout the Midwest, supporting customers from vehicle purchase through warranty repairs and ongoing maintenance. The Shop Helper assists technicians and supports shop operations by moving and test-driving trucks, cleaning work areas and equipment, handling parts, and providing basic assistance with repairs. The role also manages retained warranty parts as directed.

Candidates should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage time according to daily requirements. Responsibilities

• Move trucks in and out of stalls for technicians.
• Test-drive trucks that need extended mileage to verify repairs are complete.
• Provide steam-cleaning and pressure-washing assistance as needed.
• Clean shop floors, tool areas, shop tools and equipment, and other areas as needed.
• Deliver parts from the parts department to technicians.
• Retrieve parts from outside vendors when necessary.
• Assist with shop tool repair.
• Assist technicians with repairs when no tools or technical expertise are required, such as holding a component in place or depressing a clutch pedal.
• Manage retained warranty parts as directed.
