The Shipping position at Bendix Distribution Center prepares and manages outgoing shipments. Depending on the assigned workstation, duties may include using an RF scanner to pick finished goods from shelving and rack locations; transporting items to conveyor lines or pack-out areas; packing pallet loads or individual orders; printing and applying labels; completing shipment documentation; and verifying order accuracy. Some workstations use stand-up pickers or forklifts, while bin picking primarily involves continuous picking without a forklift. Small-package packing uses a computer system and banding machine. Employees may be cross-trained across multiple workstations after an initial observation period and may be assigned other duties to support operational objectives. The role is on-site in a climate-controlled environment that may be noisy and includes frequent forklift traffic. Employees work collaboratively to maintain production flow and meet established output, safety, and quality standards. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pay is $20.88 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour differential.
