Shipping Handler - 1st Shift
About The Position
As a Shipping Handler, you will supply, replenish, meter, and sort prescription orders in accordance with standard operating procedures and work instructions. Duties include regular packing, bulk packing, and cold packing. You will be cross-trained on other shipping functions as assigned within the facility and ensure accuracy and quality standards when performing shipping functions and metering prior to automated packing, as well as during the sack-changing process in the Eurosort. The role also acts as a liaison across multiple business units to support shipping best practices and problem solving. The position requires standing for the duration of the shift and reaching, twisting, turning, bending, stooping, walking, and lifting up to 40 pounds. You may be required to perform multiple job functions in a day. The role offers the opportunity to apply for future promotional opportunities and advance your career. Requirements
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to reach, twist, turn, bend, stoop, and walk.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Detail-oriented and task-focused.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Ability to work mandatory overtime or an extended work week when needed.
- Verifiable high school diploma or GED.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a warehouse, fulfillment center, or inventory environment.
- Experience working in a mail order pharmacy.
- Basic familiarity with warehouse tools and equipment, such as pallet jacks and handheld scanners.
