Shipping Team Member Night Shift
About The Position
As a member of the warehouse team, the Shipping Team Member helps deliver specialty food products to customers in a fast-paced, physically active environment. The role involves unloading incoming shipments, receiving and sorting products, preparing orders for delivery, and organizing, staging, and transporting orders for pickup by delivery drivers. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 6:00 PM to 3:30 AM. Candidates must be able to meet the position’s scheduling requirements, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, or travel depending on the role and business needs. The position is located at GFI Carolina in Concord, North Carolina. Reasonable accommodation will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow directions, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, carry up to 50 pounds, and push or pull up to 30 pounds of force.
- Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments ranging from 0 to 36 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ability to ascend and descend a step 10 inches high.
- Ability to stand for long periods and to reach and bend.
- Availability to meet the position’s scheduling requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Previous warehouse and/or cold storage experience.
- Experience using an RF handheld device.
- Pallet jack and forklift experience.
Responsibilities
- Unload, receive, and put away incoming inventory.
- Use an RF handheld device to scan, pull, and pack items to fulfill orders.
- View prompts on screens and follow directions for assigned tasks.
- Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets for delivery.
- Organize and stage orders for pickup by delivery drivers.
