Shipping Team Member Night Shift
About The Position
As a valued member of the warehouse team, the Shipping Team Member helps deliver specialty food items to customers in a fast-paced, physically active environment. The role unloads incoming shipments, receives and sorts products, prepares orders for timely delivery, and organizes, stages, and transports orders for pickup by delivery drivers. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM until finished and Sunday from 2:00 PM until finished. Candidates must be able to meet the scheduling requirements of the position. Depending on role and business needs, schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and/or travel; specific requirements are discussed during hiring. The position is based at GFI Arizona in Tolleson, Arizona.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds, carry up to 50 pounds, and push or pull up to 30 pounds of force.
- Able to work in refrigerated and freezer environments ranging from 0 to 36 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Able to ascend and descend a step 10 inches high from the floor.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow directions, meet deadlines, and work under minimal supervision.
- Able to stand for long periods, reach, and bend.
- Able to meet the scheduling requirements of the position.
Nice To Haves
- Previous warehouse and/or cold storage experience.
- Experience using an RF handheld device.
- Pallet jack and forklift experience.
Responsibilities
- Unload, receive, and put away incoming inventory items.
- Use an RF handheld device to scan, pull, and pack items to fulfill orders.
- View prompts on screens and follow directions for assigned tasks.
- Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets for delivery.
- Organize and stage orders for pickup by delivery drivers.
