Shipping Team Member Night Shift
About The Position
As a member of the warehouse team, the Shipping Team Member helps deliver specialty food items by receiving and sorting products, preparing orders for delivery, and keeping warehouse operations running smoothly. The role involves unloading incoming shipments, placing inventory, scanning, pulling, and packing items, and organizing and transporting orders for pickup by delivery drivers. The work is fast-paced and physically active, and includes operating an RF handheld device and following on-screen prompts for some tasks. The schedule is 6:00 PM until finished, five days per week. Candidates must meet the scheduling requirements of the position; depending on role and business needs, schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and/or travel. Reasonable accommodation will be considered in accordance with applicable law. The position is located at GFI Atlanta in Decatur, Georgia. Pay is $17.00–$18.00 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds, carry up to 50 pounds, and push or pull with up to 30 pounds of force.
- Able to work in refrigerated and freezer environments ranging from 0 to 36 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Able to ascend and descend a step 10 inches high.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow directions, meet deadlines, and work under minimal supervision.
- Able to stand for long periods and reach and bend.
- Able to meet the position's scheduling requirements, including the stated schedule of 6:00 PM until finished, five days per week.
Nice To Haves
- Previous warehouse and/or cold storage experience.
- Experience using an RF handheld device.
- Pallet jack and forklift experience.
Responsibilities
- Unload, receive, and put away incoming inventory.
