About The Position

The Cleaning Team Member provides cleaning services to Schuman Cleaning Service clients in accordance with client and company specifications. The role performs a variety of cleaning tasks at changing worksites, follows company safety and cleaning procedures, and represents the company while providing customer service. This position has no direct or indirect reports.

Requirements

Ability to perform cleaning duties using specified techniques and instructions.
Ability to safely and effectively use specified cleaning equipment and appropriate personal protective equipment.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including potentially driving record, criminal background, reference, and credit checks; employment offer is conditioned on successful completion.
Must be willing to submit to drug and alcohol screening.
Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand and move for more than 8 hours a day and to stoop, bend, crawl, climb ladders, and perform other activities requiring a full range of motion.

Responsibilities

Clean bathroom fixtures, showers and tubs; wash floors; clean kitchens; vacuum carpets; dust; polish furniture; and perform other cleaning activities.
Perform duties safely in accordance with the company’s Safety Program Handbook and job specifications.
Complete work timely and efficiently while following supervisor instructions.
Report to Schuman’s headquarters at the assigned time.
Wear the appropriate uniform and personal protective equipment.
Move furniture and other items as needed to clean appropriately.
Work safely around pets using pet-friendly products and methods, and prevent pets from leaving the home.
Maintain a positive attitude, provide outstanding customer service, and work well as part of a team while representing the company.
Follow site exit procedures, including securing premises, locking doors and windows, and activating alarm systems.
Maintain equipment in good working condition and return it to its proper location after use.
Immediately report accidents, injuries, security violations, maintenance issues, and broken or improperly functioning equipment to a Supervisor and/or Team Lead.
Learn and use company cleaning techniques in accordance with company specifications and requirements.
Attend and actively participate in required company meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Assist in other divisions as needed.
