About The Position

This position provides cleaning services to Schuman Cleaning Service clients in accordance with client and company specifications. The role performs a range of cleaning tasks at changing worksites, follows company safety and cleaning procedures, uses appropriate equipment and personal protective equipment, and provides professional customer service while representing the company. The position has no direct or indirect reports.

Ability to perform cleaning duties according to specified techniques and instructions.
Ability to safely and effectively use specified cleaning equipment and appropriate personal protective equipment.
At least 18 years of age.
Willingness to undergo a background investigation, including checks such as driving record, criminal background, references, and credit.
Willingness to submit to drug and alcohol screening.
Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand and move for more than 8 hours a day and to stoop, bend, crawl, climb ladders, and perform activities requiring a full range of motion.

Responsibilities

Clean bathroom fixtures, showers and tubs; wash floors; clean kitchens; vacuum carpets; dust; polish furniture; and perform other cleaning activities.
Perform duties safely in accordance with the company’s Safety Program Handbook.
Complete duties timely and efficiently according to job specifications and supervisor instructions.
Report to Schuman’s headquarters at the assigned time.
Wear the appropriate uniform and personal protective equipment.
Move furniture and other items as needed to clean appropriately.
Work safely around pets using appropriate pet-friendly products and methods, and take care to prevent pets from leaving the home.
Maintain a positive attitude, provide outstanding customer service, and work well as part of a team while presenting a positive image of Schuman’s Cleaning Service.
Follow worksite exit procedures, including securing premises, locking doors and windows, and activating the alarm system.
Maintain equipment in good working condition and return it to its proper location after use.
Immediately report accidents, injuries, security violations, maintenance issues, and broken or improperly functioning equipment to a supervisor and/or team lead.
Learn and use the company’s specific cleaning techniques and requirements.
Attend and actively participate in required company meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Assist in other divisions as needed.
