About The Position

The Shipping Specialist manages the shipping process for RITEC Enterprises’ products and performs light building maintenance. The role supports accurate order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, packing, and inventory control. It also involves maintaining warehouse cleanliness and completing basic groundskeeping and routine building upkeep.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse roles.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations.
• Proficiency in inventory and order management systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work under pressure.
• Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for liaising with teams, management, and external partners.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform standard warehouse tasks.
• Familiarity with safety practices and relevant regulatory standards.
• Comfort working on extension ladders or elevated platforms when needed.

• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process sales orders for shipping.
• Pick and pack products accurately according to order specifications and vendor or distributor guidelines.
• Update inventory records in Net-Suite ERP for shipped goods and report discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate shipping logs and records for audits and performance tracking.
• Select and coordinate with appropriate carriers.
• Schedule pickups and troubleshoot delays, carrier disputes, and other shipping issues.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documents.
• Ensure shipments meet regulatory and safety standards, particularly for sensors and instrumentation rated for hazardous environments.
• Monitor shipment status, provide tracking updates, and proactively address delivery issues.
• Communicate with internal teams and external customers about shipping timelines and discrepancies.
• Perform basic groundskeeping, maintain warehouse cleanliness, conduct routine building upkeep, and address other general maintenance needs.
