About The Position

The Shipping Specialist manages the shipping process for RITEC Enterprises’ products and performs light building maintenance. The role supports accurate order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, order packing, and inventory control. Responsibilities also include coordinating shipments, maintaining shipping documentation and records, communicating shipment status, and carrying out routine warehouse and facility upkeep.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse roles.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations.
• Proficiency in inventory and order management systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work under pressure.
• Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for liaising with teams, management, and external partners.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle standard warehouse tasks.
• Familiarity with safety practices and relevant regulatory standards.
• Comfort working on extension ladders or elevated platforms when needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process sales orders for shipping.
• Pick and pack products accurately according to order specifications and vendor or distributor guidelines.
• Update inventory records in Net-Suite ERP based on shipped goods and report discrepancies.
• Maintain shipping logs and records for audits and performance tracking.
• Select and coordinate with carriers, schedule pickups, and troubleshoot delays or carrier disputes.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documents and ensure shipments meet applicable regulatory and safety standards, particularly for sensitive equipment such as sensors or hazardous-environment-rated instrumentation.
• Monitor shipment status, provide tracking updates, and proactively address delivery issues.
• Communicate shipping timelines and discrepancies with internal teams and external customers.
• Perform basic groundskeeping, maintain warehouse cleanliness, conduct routine building upkeep, and address other general maintenance needs.
