About The Position

The Shipping Room Operator selects products for loading, loads and unloads trailers, and completes necessary paperwork. The role operates a palletizer, sit-down forklift, and clamp truck, and includes operating, maintaining, and cleaning equipment in the work area. The operator contributes to continuous improvement of work processes and team and technical skills, assists throughout the department as needed, and may help train new associates at leadership’s discretion. The position is based in the dairy operation in Dacula and requires overnight work in a cold environment.

Requirements

Ability to operate a sit-down forklift and clamp truck.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and pull 180–200 pounds across a slick surface.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
Ability to continually bend, reach, pull, carry, lift, and walk.
Excellent safety work habits.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
Ability to perform steady, productive work for an extended period.
Willingness to assist other team members in other areas.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Good time-management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
High level of maturity, discretion, tact, and judgment.

Responsibilities

Select product to be loaded.
Load and unload trailers.
Complete necessary paperwork.

Assist in all areas of the department when needed.

Benefits

Holiday Bonus: 15 hours of pay in the first year of continuous employment, one week’s pay in the second year, and two weeks’ pay in subsequent years, subject to remaining employed through the bonus check issue date.
$2.00 per hour weekend differential for hours worked from 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
$0.75 per hour night differential for associates regularly scheduled to work any hours between midnight and 3:00 a.m., excluding shifts that end at midnight or begin at 3:00 a.m.
