About The Position

RPI Inc. is seeking a motivated Shipping/Receiving Technician to support inventory management, shipment processing, and receiving operations. The role involves maintaining inventory accuracy, preparing outgoing shipments and documentation, inspecting incoming manufactured items against blueprints and purchase orders, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The technician will use warehouse management software, carrier platforms, warehouse equipment, and measuring tools. The position is based at RPI Inc., 2914 Carlisle Ave., Racine, WI 53404.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy and willingness to learn new software programs.
• Adaptability and a flexible work style to handle changing priorities.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proper forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Control inventory, perform cycle counts, and make adjustments using warehouse management software.
• Pack outgoing shipments to ensure safe arrival and prepare accurate shipping documentation using designated carrier platforms such as UPS and FedEx.
• Inspect incoming manufactured items, verify accuracy against blueprints, and ensure received quantities match purchase orders.
• Complete documentation associated with shipments and receipts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Safely operate equipment commonly used in warehouse settings, including forklifts, with proper certification.
• Use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and rulers.
• Work overtime when necessary; overtime is described as rare and paid at time and a half when exceeding 40 hours in a week.
