About The Position

RPI Inc. is seeking a motivated Shipping/Receiving Technician to support inventory management, shipment processing, and receiving operations. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment and ensuring accuracy and efficiency across warehouse activities. The position is in the Shipping/Receiving Department within Production and reports to the Production Manager. It is located at RPI Inc., 2914 Carlisle Ave., Racine, WI 53404. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with rare occasional overtime paid at time and a half for hours exceeding 40 in a week.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer literacy and willingness to learn new software programs.
Adaptability and a flexible work style to handle changing priorities.
Ability to work overtime when necessary; overtime is rare and paid at time and a half.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Proper certification to operate forklifts.

Responsibilities

Control inventory, perform cycle counts, and make adjustments using warehouse management software.
Pack outgoing shipments to ensure safe arrival and prepare accurate shipping documentation using designated carrier platforms such as UPS or FedEx.
Inspect incoming manufactured items, verify their accuracy against blueprints, and confirm received quantities match purchase orders.
Complete documentation associated with shipments and receipts.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Safely operate equipment commonly used in warehouse settings, including forklifts, with proper certification.
Use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and rulers.
