About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Lead directs and monitors shipping and receiving activities on a shift-specific schedule. The position requires a 12-hour shift and oversees loading trucks, operator and safety requirements, and preparation of shipping manifests for finished products and bulk-item receipts.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to work well in a team environment and help solve problems and implement solutions with diverse employees.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment and shipping or warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor shipping and receiving activities to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Review handoff reports and address outstanding tasks from prior shifts.
• Finalize orders to ensure shipments are picked, staged, loaded, and documented accurately.
• Investigate material discrepancies, including shortages, damage, and errors, and trigger root cause analysis.
• Prepare work areas, equipment, and paperwork for the next shift.
• Isolate, tag, and report nonconforming or unusable materials.
• Conduct cycle counts as directed and communicate low stock levels.
• Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) principles are followed.
• Pick, load, and process outgoing shipments with complete and accurate documentation.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, including packing lists and bills of lading.
• Operate computerized inventory systems, scanning equipment, and shipping software.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and yard trucks.
• Verify that operators follow safety procedures.
