Shipping/Receiving Lead
About The Position
Assist in planning, scheduling, and managing warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving raw materials and/or finished goods and maintaining inventory and associated records. Lead and assist in the daily operations of the warehouse and shipping areas, measure and report department effectiveness, and help adjust work procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency. Work safely and efficiently using required personal protective and safety equipment and following STW documentation or proper training techniques. Actively participate in and promote Continuous Improvement, 5S, and STW activities. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification.
- Yard truck certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist in the daily operations of the warehouse and shipping areas.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of the department.
- Assist in establishing or adjusting work procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Work safely and efficiently using required personal protective and safety equipment and devices, in accordance with STW documentation or proper training techniques where STW documentation is not developed.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement and promote and sustain CI, 5S, and STW activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
