Shipping/Receiving Lead
About The Position
The Shipping/Receiving Lead assists with planning, scheduling, and managing warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving raw materials and/or finished goods, maintaining inventory, and managing associated records. The role leads and assists in the daily operations of warehouse and shipping areas, measures departmental effectiveness, and helps improve work procedures for safety, quality, and efficiency. The employee is expected to work safely with required personal protective and safety equipment, follow applicable STW documentation and training practices, and actively support Continuous Improvement, 5S, and STW activities. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification.
- Yard truck certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist in the daily operations of the warehouse and shipping areas.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of the department.
- Assist in establishing or adjusting work procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Work safely and efficiently using required personal protective and safety equipment and devices, in accordance with STW documentation or proper training techniques.
- Participate in and promote Continuous Improvement, 5S, and STW activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
