About The Position

The Shipping/Receiving Associate I packages parts according to customer specifications and supports the movement and handling of materials at Orchid’s Memphis facility. The role includes receiving, inspecting, storing, and shipping materials while meeting established timelines and accuracy standards. It also supports inventory management through system transactions, shipment and receipt logging, cycle counts, and discrepancy resolution.

The associate handles materials in compliance with medical device regulations, quality standards, and internal procedures, maintaining traceability and proper documentation. The role collaborates with production, quality, and procurement teams to coordinate shipping and receiving with operational needs, performs weekly housekeeping according to the 6S schedule, and may move parts to and from finished goods.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Accuracy and attention to detail at a working-experience level.
• Data entry at a working-experience level.
• Handwriting at a basic-knowledge level.
• Information processing at a basic-knowledge level.
• Organization at a basic-knowledge level.
• Mathematical ability at a basic-knowledge level.
• Problem solving at a working-experience level.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing experience.
• Packaging experience.
• Experience with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Quality Systems Regulation (QSR), and ISO standards.

Responsibilities
