Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
2+ years of shipping, warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of shipping documentation, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
Experience with domestic shipping processes; international shipping experience is a plus.
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
Strong math skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
Ability to create basic spreadsheets and reports.
Ability to follow documented work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Forklift certification or the ability to become certified during the introductory period.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Coordinate domestic and international shipments from order release through delivery.
Create Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping labels, customs documents, and other required shipping paperwork.
Schedule pickups with LTL, Truckload, Parcel, and freight carriers.
Obtain shipping quotes and negotiate spot freight rates when needed.
Process shipping transactions using SAP or other shipping systems.
Communicate daily with carriers, brokers, Customer Service, Production, and Receiving to coordinate shipments and resolve issues.
Provide shipping quotes, estimated delivery dates, proof of shipment, and shipment status updates to internal and external customers.
Audit shipping documentation and carrier invoices for accuracy.
Maintain outbound shipment logs and shipping records.
Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate shipping and warehouse records.
Pick, pack, wrap, band, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
Verify order accuracy using Pick Lists and Pack Lists prior to shipment.
Record product weights and dimensions and enter information into shipping systems.
Move finished products and shipping containers throughout the warehouse using material handling equipment.
Assist Receiving and other departments with material movement and non-inventory shipments.
Support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
