About The Position

Airvac is the global leader in the Vacuum Technology System industry. The primary function of our Shipping Coordinator is to receive, package, and ship material. They coordinate the movement of products, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining efficient communication with various stakeholders.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years’ experience in shipping or warehousing (receiving experience is a plus but not required).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work individually as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • Certified forklift operator or ability to become certified.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office (SharePoint and SAP experience preferred).

  • Receiving experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Packages and prepares orders for shipment using various tools and equipment, including boxes, packing materials, hand tools, strap banders, shrink-wrap machines, and foam machines.
  • Coordinates shipping logistics, including UPS, FedEx, DHL, and freight shipments, following shippers’ instructions.
  • Maintains accurate shipping records, including bill of ladings (BOLs), product labels, safety data sheets (SDS), specific instructions, and deviations.
  • Stages materials for fabrication department projects and updates project material workflow.
  • Uses intranet to arrange customer orders and notify Logistics that the order is staged for shipment.
  • Works with Parts Sales and Logistics personnel to estimate order shipment dates, parts weight, and dimensions.
  • Assists Supervisor/Manager in meeting on-time shipping key point indicator (KPI) goals.
  • Takes and uploads photos of picked and packaged orders under each specific order on the intranet.
  • Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and work assist vehicles (WAV) as needed.
  • Assists with general housekeeping of the warehouse and work area.
  • Assists with pulling quality control samples.
  • Maintains a general understanding of the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and quality objectives.
  • Serves as a backup for receiving duties, including verifying incoming materials, labeling, and moving items to warehouse locations, only when necessary.
  • Performs various other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
