About The Position

Under the direction of Management, the Delivery Coordinator supports the efficient, accurate and timely delivery of medications to facilities. Ensures customer service standards are met for facilities and patients we service. Requirements

  • 1+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience)
  • Knowledge of routing and training drivers
  • Proficient in computer applications related to department operations and job function.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
  • Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements), preferred (or willing to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate delivery preparation to ensure accuracy and completeness of orders prior to departure.
  • Support delivery drivers to deliver correct patient medications to facilities in a timely manner.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and departmental resource in Pharmacy operating systems and workflow.
  • Independently troubleshoot, research, and resolve delivery issues using operational and system knowledge.
  • Scan prescriptions into totes to ensure accurate toting and secure handling of medication.
  • May assist in optimizing delivery routes to improve efficiency and service levels.
  • May monitor vehicle maintenance and inspection records; notify supervisor of any required repairs or servicing.
  • Comply with all Federal and Company privacy regulations regarding safeguarding of patient information.
  • Serve as a backup delivery driver as needed.
  • Exhibit a professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with customers.
  • Collaborate with team members and other functional areas to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed.
