About The Position
The Shipping Associate works at Fox Valley Container in Aurora, Illinois, on the second shift, Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with overtime as needed. The role involves preparing finished product for shipment by counting, stacking, straightening, and banding units, while following safety practices and maintaining housekeeping standards. The associate reads job cards and factory orders, checks unit counts, operates consoles, and tracks strapping supplies for reordering.
Requirements
- Ability to count and stack finished product.
- Ability to read factory orders.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety practices.
- Operate consoles.
- Perform housekeeping at the beginning and end of the shift to maintain safe operations.
- Read and understand job cards to determine how units should be banded.
- Check consistency in unit counts.
- Straighten units to ensure proper banding.
- Track strapping and notify the Coordinator or Clerk when it needs to be reordered.
- Count and stack finished product.
- Read factory orders.
Benefits
