Shipping Associate- Fox Valley
About The Position
The Shipping Associate works at International Paper’s Fox Valley Container facility in Aurora, Illinois. This hourly, full-time position is on second shift, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with overtime as needed. The role involves safely preparing finished product for shipment by operating consoles, following job-card instructions, checking unit counts, straightening units for proper banding, and monitoring strapping supplies. The position pays $23.31 per hour, plus a $0.35 second-shift differential. A sign-on bonus is offered in installments: $500 after 30 days, $500 after six months, $500 after one year, and an additional bonus at two years.
Requirements
- Ability to count and stack finished product.
- Ability to read factory orders.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety practices.
- Operate consoles.
- Perform housekeeping at the beginning and end of the shift to maintain safe operations.
- Read and understand job cards to determine how units should be banded.
- Check consistency in unit counts.
- Straighten units to ensure proper banding is placed.
- Track strapping supplies and notify the Coordinator or Clerk when supplies need to be reordered.
- Count and stack finished product.
- Read factory orders.
