About The Position

Responsible for assembling orders and preparing goods for shipment. Ensures shipments are properly labeled, charged, packaged, invoiced, and shipped to company standards. Prepares inventory and pallets for shipment, checks sales receipts against computer records, monitors inventory, and reports shortages to management and the sales team. Works with other shipping clerks to process invoices promptly and ensure goods are shipped and stored properly. The role operates under close supervision, follows prescribed processes, and involves limited independent judgment. Work output may be closely reviewed by a senior coworker or supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for periods of up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting.
• Follow prescribed processes and seek supervisor guidance on non-routine or problem areas.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM.
• Forklift experience.
• Shipping/receiving experience.
• Computer applications or Oracle experience.
• Strong email communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure shipments have proper labeling and postal charges and are packaged to arrive safely.
• Print daily sales receipts and cross-check them against computer software for accuracy.
• Inform management and supervisors of product shortages to help maintain accurate information on the company website.
• Prepare inventory for shipment.
• Band and shrink-wrap pallets and attach shipping labels.
• Assemble and fill boxes and other cartons with items for shipment.
• Prepare detailed and accurate invoices to accompany shipments and ensure items are packaged and shipped to company standards.
• Track inventory and report shortages to the sales team.
• Coordinate with other shipping clerks to ensure invoices are handled promptly and goods are shipped and stored properly.
