Shipping Associate
About The Position
The Shipping Associate is responsible for accurately loading and unloading trailers, verifying route loads and trailer reports, and maintaining the shipping yard. The role includes checking product quantity and quality, keeping accurate records, reporting overages and shortages, and participating in cycle counts. Associates operate material-handling equipment and troubleshoot issues with packing and shipping equipment. The position pays $22.08 per hour and is scheduled for the second shift, 1:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with Tuesday and Sunday off. The employer offers medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds, stack or unstack or carry items, and stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods.
- Comfort working in a warm environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- 1–3 years of shipping experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Accurately load and unload trailers.
