About The Position
Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Shipping Associate to support shipping operations. The role is responsible for accurately loading and unloading trailers, verifying route loads and trailer reports, and maintaining the shipping yard. Associates count and inspect products for accuracy and quality, maintain accurate records, report overages and shortages, and participate in cycle counts. The position also operates material-handling equipment and troubleshoots packing and shipping equipment.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to lift and push or pull up to 50 pounds, stack or unstack or carry items, and stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods.
- Comfortable working in a warm environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- 1–3 years of shipping experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Accurately load and unload trailers.
- Verify route loads and trailer reports.
- Maintain the shipping yard.
- Count and check products for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain accurate records and report overages and shortages.
- Participate in cycle counts.
- Operate material-handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Troubleshoot packing equipment, label machines, tapers, and palletizers.
