About The Position

Responsible for picking and shipping orders to members’ homes and businesses. The role uses digital handheld devices to locate, pick, and verify merchandise; safely navigates picking carts around the club; assembles boxes; packages orders to prevent damage; moves pallets of supplies using a pallet jack or other material-handling equipment; assists with loading UPS/FedEx trucks; and shrink-wraps pallets. Frequent lifting is required.

The ambassador fulfills orders accurately and promptly, meets productivity expectations and service-level agreements, follows established operating procedures, and communicates inventory or equipment issues, expired or short-dated items, and replenishment needs. The role also packages and labels shipments, oversees carrier pickups, processes returns and damaged or spoiled goods, and keeps the Ship From Club area clean and organized. Team members are expected to follow club policies, provide friendly service, support a safe and inclusive environment, and assist in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Frequent lifting of merchandise is required; the role continuously requires lifting objects up to 50 pounds and may require lifting and moving heavier or awkward objects with assistance.
• Ability to move continuously on hard surfaces and to bend, climb, crawl, handle, pull, reach, and stoop as needed.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Nice To Haves

• Previous order-pulling experience preferred.
• Big-box or wholesale retail experience preferred.
• Previous experience using digital handheld devices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use a handheld digital device to locate and pick merchandise from the selling floor and a handheld scanner to verify merchandise.
• Build boxes, securely package orders according to standard operating procedures, shrink-wrap packages, and move merchandise to the staging area.
• Move pallets of supplies using a pallet jack or other material-handling equipment and assist with loading UPS/FedEx trucks.
• Communicate inventory and equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and merchandise replenishment needs to the appropriate club team members.
• Complete orders on time and meet productivity requirements, service-level agreements, performance metrics, and deadlines.
• Work with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales-floor replenishment.
• Wrap and secure merchandise to pallets, label pallets, and print shipping labels and related documents.
• Oversee package carrier pickups.
• Keep the Ship From Club area neat, clean, and organized; perform housekeeping, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine how to handle them through DDR or the Membership desk.
• Follow club policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and established operating procedures for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship From Club.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when performance metrics are not met.
• Provide friendly service, address or escalate member concerns, and help maintain a safe and positive environment.
• Work collaboratively, maintain a positive attitude, and perform other duties or work in other departments as assigned.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
