About The Position

The Ship From Club Ambassador performs activities associated with picking and shipping orders to members’ homes and businesses. The role uses digital handheld devices to locate, pick, and verify merchandise on the sales floor; builds and packs boxes; moves merchandise to staging areas; wraps and labels pallets; prints shipping documents; and assists with carrier pickups. The position involves frequent lifting and safe use of picking carts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.

The ambassador works to fulfill orders accurately and on time while meeting productivity expectations and service-level agreements. They communicate inventory, equipment, and replenishment issues; follow established operating procedures; maintain a clean and organized Ship From Club area; process returns and damaged or spoiled goods; and support club policies, member service, safety, and teamwork. Other duties may include work in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must meet OMNI productivity expectations, including service-level agreements, performance metrics, and goals.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Able to continuously lift objects up to 50 pounds; may need to lift and move heavier or awkward objects over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Able to move about continuously on hard surfaces and frequently bend, climb, crawl, handle, pull, reach, stoop, and position oneself to examine or scan merchandise.

Nice To Haves

• Previous order-pulling experience preferred.
• Big-box or wholesale retail experience preferred.
• Previous experience using digital handheld devices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use a digital handheld device to locate and pick merchandise orders from the selling floor, and use a handheld RF scanner to verify merchandise.
• Build cardboard boxes, securely pack orders according to standard operating procedures, and shrink-wrap packages and pallets.
• Move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area and move pallets of supplies using a pallet jack or other material-handling equipment.
• Communicate inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and merchandise replenishment needs to the appropriate club team members.
• Work with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales-floor replenishment.
• Pick orders accurately and on time, meeting productivity requirements, deadlines, service-level agreements, and performance metrics.
• Follow operational efficiency, process, productivity, and standard operating procedures for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when performance metrics are not met.
• Secure merchandise to pallets before transport and clearly label pallets with required information.
• Print shipping labels and related documents and oversee package carrier pickups.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized Ship From Club area, including removing trash and cardboard and handling damaged goods and spoiled products according to procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine how to handle them via DDR or the Membership desk.
• Maintain club policies and procedures and support compliance, safety, member service, teamwork, and GOLD Member and Club Standards.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
