About The Position

Responsible for picking, packing, and shipping orders to members’ homes and businesses. The role uses handheld digital devices to locate and verify merchandise, navigates a large picking cart around the club, assembles boxes, packages orders safely, moves supplies and pallets using a pallet jack or other material-handling equipment, assists with loading carrier trucks, and shrink-wraps pallets. The position involves frequent lifting and meeting productivity and service-level expectations.

The Ambassador provides friendly member service, supports club policies and procedures, maintains a safe and positive environment, and works collaboratively with club teams. They keep the Ship From Club area clean and organized, follow standard operating procedures, and help meet order deadlines and performance goals. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Ability to continuously lift objects up to 50 pounds; lifting and moving heavy or awkward objects over 50 pounds may be required with assistance.
• Ability to move continuously on hard surfaces and frequently bend, climb, crawl, handle, pull, reach, stoop, position oneself, and examine or scan merchandise.
• Ability to work around moving machinery and loud equipment, with possible exposure to temperature extremes when pulling refrigerated orders and occasional exposure to company-approved cleaning agents.

Responsibilities

• Use a handheld digital device to pull merchandise from the selling floor and a handheld scanner to verify merchandise.
• Build boxes, securely package orders, shrink-wrap packages, and move merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area.
• Communicate inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and replenishment needs to the appropriate club team members.
• Pick orders promptly and meet productivity requirements, deadlines, service-level agreements, performance metrics, and goals.
• Work with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales-floor replenishment.
• Follow operational efficiencies, processes, and productivity standards, including established procedures for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when metrics are not met.
• Wrap and secure merchandise on pallets before transport and label pallets with required information.
• Print shipping labels and related documents, and oversee package-carrier pickup.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized Ship From Club area; perform housekeeping, including removing trash and cardboard.
• Handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine how to handle them, including through DDR or the Membership desk.
• Maintain club policies and procedures and perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Deliver friendly, courteous service; address and de-escalate member concerns and escalate concerns when appropriate.
• Work collaboratively to maintain a safe, positive, clean, and organized club environment and deliver GOLD Member and Club Standards.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
