About The Position

The Ship From Club Ambassador is responsible for picking and shipping member orders to homes and businesses. The role uses digital handheld devices to locate and verify merchandise, safely moves items from the selling floor to a staging area, and prepares orders for shipment by assembling boxes, packaging merchandise, printing labels, and securing pallets. The position also supports carrier pickups, returns, inventory and equipment communication, replenishment, and housekeeping in the Ship From Club area. Frequent lifting and continuous movement are required, and work may include pulling refrigerated orders and working around machinery or loud equipment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Must meet OMNI productivity expectations regarding service level agreements, performance metrics, and goals.
• Able to continuously lift objects up to 50 pounds; heavier or awkward objects may need to be lifted and moved with assistance.
• Able to move continuously on hard surfaces and frequently bend, climb, crawl, handle, pull, reach, stoop, position oneself, and scan merchandise.

Nice To Haves

• Previous order-pulling experience preferred.
• Big-box or wholesale retail experience preferred.
• Previous experience using digital handheld devices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick merchandise orders from the selling floor using a digital handheld device and verify merchandise with an RF handheld scanner.
• Build boxes and package orders securely and in a damage-free manner according to standard operating procedures.
• Shrink-wrap and secure merchandise on pallets, label pallets, and move merchandise to the staging area.
• Print shipping labels and related documents and oversee package carrier pickup.
• Communicate inventory or equipment problems, expired or short-dated items, and merchandise replenishment needs to the appropriate club team members.
• Ensure orders are picked promptly and meet productivity requirements, service level agreements, and performance metrics.
• Follow operational efficiencies, processes, and productivity standards for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
• Work with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area when possible to avoid sales-floor replenishment.
• Take responsibility for individual performance and work with club leadership when performance metrics are not met.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized Ship From Club area; remove trash and cardboard and handle damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
• Process returns to the club and determine how to handle them through DDR or the Membership desk.
• Maintain club policies and procedures and perform other assigned duties, including work in other departments as needed.
• Provide courteous, friendly service and help address member concerns while maintaining a safe and positive environment.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
