SHIFT SUPERVISOR (EVS) (FULL TIME)
About The Position
TouchPoint Support Services is hiring a full-time Shift Supervisor for Environmental Services (EVS) at Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. The role directs associate activities during a specific shift and ensures assigned work is completed in accordance with policy and procedure. The schedule is overnight, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.; weekdays may vary, and weekend availability is required for the staff's alternating schedule. The stated pay range is $19.00 to $19.75 per hour. The supervisor trains associates, creates work schedules, evaluates performance, and supports quality, productivity, and safety expectations. The role also serves as a point of contact for employee complaints and time-off requests, and may mentor and develop employees.
Requirements
- Prior supervisory and/or lead experience overseeing staff and shift productivity.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including evaluating operational issues, making timely decisions, and implementing effective solutions to ensure quality service and uninterrupted shift operations.
- Ability to manage unexpected challenges, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain productivity during shift operations.
Responsibilities
- Direct associate activities during the assigned shift and ensure assigned job expectations are completed while maintaining policies and procedures.
- Provide training and create work schedules.
- Evaluate worker performance, reward high performers, and discipline employees who fail to meet reasonable work-performance standards.
- Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure the unit meets quality, productivity, and safety expectations.
- Act as the contact person for employee complaints and requests for time off.
- Mentor and develop employees and encourage them to set goals and seek advancement within the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
