About The Position

The EVS Shift Supervisor assists in managing and supervising the Environmental Services (EVS) Department during an assigned shift. The role oversees cleaning operations in the casino, public access areas, and restaurants, and helps maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. The supervisor may also perform EVS duties alongside staff as needed. All work must follow Seneca Gaming Corporation policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and objectives. The position includes training staff, monitoring facilities through checklists and visual inspections, and tracking supplies and recommending purchases. The supervisor is expected to provide exceptional 4 Diamond customer service, communicate professionally with patrons and colleagues, follow information security policies, meet attendance and training requirements, and attend necessary meetings. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old upon employment.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least one year of experience in environmental services.
Familiarity with the proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interact effectively with customers and employees and resolve problems or conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
Adequate manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment.
Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and properly dilute and use them safely.
Ability to climb and descend ladders.
Ability to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
Ability to maintain physical stamina and a proper mental attitude under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Oversee Environmental Services operations, including cleaning the casino, public access areas, and restaurants on an assigned shift.
Assist with instruction and training of EVS staff.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
Monitor facility appearance using checklists and visual inspections.
Monitor inventory and supplies and recommend purchases to a supervisor.
Perform EVS duties alongside staff when necessary.
Assist with other projects as required.
Understand and comply with information security policies and procedures, including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.
Provide exceptional 4 Diamond customer service and communicate pleasantly, professionally, and in a friendly manner with patrons, supervisors, managers, and staff.
Meet attendance guidelines and comply with regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
Complete all required SGC Training programs within nine months of employment commencement.
Attend necessary meetings.
