About The Position

Xanitos, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor for the 3rd shift at Flagstaff Medical Center in Flagstaff, Arizona. The role assists with supervising an assigned hospital Environmental Services Department under the direction and guidance of the Environmental Services Department Director. Responsibilities include establishing and enforcing work standards in conjunction with the Director, monitoring inventory and equipment usage, problem solving, training department staff, maintaining customer relations, and completing special projects as requested. The position provides hands-on training under an experienced Department Director to prepare the incumbent to assume and support the department’s operational duties. The position pays $24.00 per hour and is scheduled from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. The role requires standing and walking for extended periods, frequent lifting and moving of items up to 50 pounds, and possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in the janitorial or housekeeping industry.
Customer service skills.
Strong service and quality attitude.
Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Ability to work under pressure and meet goals and objectives.
Sense of urgency, ability to meet deadlines, and self-direction.
Proficiency with Windows-based office software, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to meet the described physical demands, including standing, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, and frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds.
Ability to regularly assist staff members and use approved lifting devices to lift or move patients.
Post-offer medical evaluation, background screening, and drug test are required.

Responsibilities

Participate in all in-services for the Environmental Services Department.
Assign personnel to established work areas or project duties.
Conduct quality assurance checks and manage materials inventory and general equipment use.
Ensure staff receive proper initial training in their assigned areas and tasks.
Provide individual guidance and motivation to help staff perform to their fullest potential.
Maintain an environment that is sanitary, attractive, and orderly.

Assist with establishing and enforcing work standards, problem solving, customer relations, and special projects as requested.
